Terry A. Frey

RED LION - Terry A. Frey, 75, of York Township, died Friday, June 15, 2012 at his residence. He was the husband of Joan M. (Holtzapple) Frey. The couple celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on April 13th. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Zion United Methodist Church, 1155 Felton Rd. in Red Lion. His pastor, The Reverend James C. House will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion and 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Frey was born in Red Lion on October 9, 1936, son of the late Allen A. and Dorcas I. (Stitely) Frey. He was the owner and operator of Lion Pharmacy in Red Lion. Prior to that he had worked for Detwiler Pharmacy. Mr. Frey was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Felton, where he was a teacher, served on the Pastor Parrish Committee, and served on the Cemetery Committee. He was a member of the Red Lion Rotary Club, Red Lion Jaycee’s, Red Lion Country Club, and York County and State Pharmaceutical Associations. He was a member of the Board at Core States Bank and the Red Lion Ambulance Club. His other interests included golfing, hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. Mr. Frey leaves three sons, Dr. Jeffrey A. Frey and his wife Christine of Red Lion, Scott H. Frey and his wife Traci of Boalsburg, and David T. Frey of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren, Matthew Jackson, Zachary A. Frey, Wesley M. Frey, Erin N. Frey, Nathan S. Frey, Brooke E. Frey, and Sydney E. Brown; and two great grandchildren, Ryan Jackson and Kyle Jackson. A daughter, Alana M. (Frey) Brown, had preceded him in death.
