Terri L. (Backel) Herbst

WINDSOR- Terri L. (Backel) Herbst, 53, died on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at her residence. She was the wife of Edward M. Herbst. The couple had been married for over 35 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York. Born on February 21, 1959 in York, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel (Wetzel) Backel. Terri graduated from the Baltimore School of Massage in December of 2002. Mrs. Herbst enjoyed scrapbooking and was a consultant for Creative Memories. Terri was involved in Skills Life Share Program and was a caretaker for Todd. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Along with her husband, Edward, Terri is survived by one son, Jason Herbst and his wife, Katie of Windsor; two daughters, Jennifer Huster and her husband, Kevin of Windsor and Jaime Klinefelter and her husband, Jesse of Red Lion; five grandchildren, Kirstin, Karlie, Teagan, Harper and Ryder; four brothers, Arthur Backel, Clarence Backel, Mark Backel and Joey Backel; and one sister, Theresa Buchholtz.
