Terrence 'Terry' S. Murnane

RED LION - Terrence “Terry” S. Murnane, 70, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at his residence. He was the husband of Cheryl L. (Tenney) Murnane, to whom he was married to for 29 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 251 E. Main Street in Dallastown. His pastor, The Reverend John A. McCloskey, OFM, Cap. will be officiating. A visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Dallastown Union Cemetery. Born on June 9, 1943 in York, he was the son of the late Thomas T. and Ruth C. (Stroman) Murnane. Terry was a Police Officer for the former Windsor Twp. Police Department until his retirement in 1998 and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police York County Lodge #73. Mr. Murnane was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dallastown. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, riding ATV’s, and spending time at his cabin in the mountains with his devoted wife and friends. Along with his wife, Cheryl, Terry is survived by one son, David T. Murnane of Dallastown; one daughter, Lisa (Murnane)Eveland of Hampstead, N.C.; four grandchildren, Justine, Davelyn, Jayme and Thomas; and one great grandson, Will.
