Teresa R. (Van Scyoc) Walters

York—Teresa R. (Van Scyoc) Walters, 68, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at her residence in Conewago Township. She was the wife of John H. Walters, Jr., to whom she was married for 47 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11AM, July 27, 2018 at Christ United Methodist Church, 5 Main Street, Yorkana with Rev. Forrest S. Bish officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11AM at the church. Burial will be held in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born September 7, 1949 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Robert E. and Audrey J. (Amtower) Van Scyoc. She was employed as a secretary for many years with various departments in the PA State Government and Access York. Regularly attended Christ United Methodist Church in Yorkana, she also enjoyed watching and feeding hummingbirds, collected Longaberger Baskets, chair caning, avid novel reader, loved cooking, baking and watching her grandsons play baseball. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Brian E. Walters and wife, Shani of York; one daughter, Christine M. Walters and fiancé, Andy Brown of Liberty, SC; two grandchildren, Brandon J. and Austin S. Walters; two sisters, Renee Hoffman and husband, Dan of New Brighton, PA and Barbara Van Scyoc of Steamboat Springs, CO and nieces and nephews.
