Teresa M. (Minchhoff) Riegle

WYOMISSING - Teresa M. Riegle, 88, of Wyomissing, formerly of Pottsville, died Thursday morning at the home of her daughter. Born in Pottsville on September 18, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Mathilda (Marx) Minchhoff. She graduated from Pottsville Catholic High School in 1938. During World War II she worked for the Federal Communication Commission in Washington DC, reporting on the war. She was also a ticket agent for Capitol Trailways in Pottsville. Teresa spent most of her life keeping her home and children. Teresa was a member of St. Ignatius of Loyola church, in Sinking Spring. She enjoyed knitting and baking. Teresa also loved spending time with her great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Homer T. Riegle, who died July 25, 1982; and five brothers, John, Francis, Christopher, George and Paul. Surviving Teresa are: two sons, Raymond F. and his wife Patti, of Schuylkill Haven and William R. and his wife Nancy of Pottsville; two daughters, Barbara A. and her husband George Kunder, with whom Teresa resided, and Alice M. and her husband Ronald Hihn, of Harrisburg; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Minchhoff, of Pottsville and Eugene Minchhoff, of Quarryville; a sister Mathilda Williams of Reinholds; nieces, nepews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc. 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 7-9 PM and Monday morning from 10-11 at the funeral home. Interment will be private, held at the convenience of the family in the Calvary Cemetery, Hillside Rd., Pottsville.
