OBITUARY FLOURTOWN- On Saturday, September 18th, Teresa Kotzman Rose, at the awesome age of 103, “slipped the surly bonds of earth” to join her husband, Lewis S. Rose, her son, George Rose, her grandsons, Charlie and James Rose, and her son-in-law, Robert Donohoe, in heavenly peace and rest. Mrs. Rose left behind three sons, Francis Rose, Michael Rose, and J. Anthony Rose; three daughters, Mary Ann Dopirak, Teresa Donohoe, and Barbara Rose; three daughters-in-law, Connie Rose, Sun Lee Rose, and Karen Rose; two sons-in-law, Stephen Dopirak, and Michael Corrigan; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was one of 10 children, with only her sister, Sister Barbara Kotzman, S.S.J., surviving. Mrs. Rose was born in Falling Waters, WV, on January 22, 1918, the daughter of the late Frantz J. and Mary J. (Werner) Kotzman. She retired after 27 years of service as the Assistant Director of Nursing Services at York Hospital. Mrs. Rose was a life-long member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in York until she moved from the York area. She was a graduate of York Catholic High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Elizabethtown College. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on October 1, 2021, at St. Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA. There will be a viewing from 9:30-10:15 a.m. at the Villa. ** Due to Covid restrictions, attendance at the Villa services is limited, and those wishing to attend should contact Margaret Donohoe Tull at margaretdonohoe3@gmail.com. The mass will be private at St. Joseph Villa in Flourtown. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery in York, PA, with an interment service October 2, 2021, at 11 a.m. All are welcome to meet at the entrance of the cemetery starting at 10:45 a.m. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with the arrangements.
