Tatlin M. Simms

YORK—Tatlin M. (Simmonds) Simms, 100, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022 at her residence in Conewago Township. She was the wife of the late Sydney G. Simms.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 12PM Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. A viewing will be held from 11AM-12PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Holy Savior Cemetery.

Born May 28, 1922 in Saint Mary, Jamaica, she was a daughter of the late Ruel Simmonds and Catherine White.

She was a caring homemaker who loved cooking, baking and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She was also a talented dress maker and an avid sports fan.

Mrs. Simms was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church in Kingston, Jamaica and attended Bible Baptist Church here locally.

Mrs. Simms is survived by six children, Synley Simms, Beverly Taylor, Paulette Josephs, Dave Simms, Jean Brown and Bethgee Stephenson; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great children, two brothers, one sister and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Carl and Errol Simms.
