T. Lois (Swords) Shenk

SPRING GARDEN TOWNSHIP- T. Lois (Swords) Shenk, 91, of York, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2007 at her residence. She was the wife of the late C. Kermit Shenk. A Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Prospect Hill Cemetery in York. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Shenk was born in York on January 15, 1916, a daughter of the late Earl W. and Ada I. (Fahs) Swords. She was a 1934 graduate of York High School. Besides being a homemaker, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Mrs. Shenk leaves a daughter, L. Joanne Shenk of York and her companion Donald Meckley, a daughter-in-law, Jeannie Shenk of Red Lion, five grandchildren: Lisa Higgins King and her husband Mike, Thomas Higgins and his wife Connie, Lori Cordora and her husband Joe, Kim Cahill and her husband Jeff, and Todd Shenk and his wife Gail, 14 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Earle K. Shenk and a sister, Helen Swords.
