Sylvia J. (Vergilis) Andrews

LOCK HAVEN - Sylvia J. (Vergilis) Andrews, 69, a former resident of Mill Hall passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Suqsue-View. She was born in Pittston, PA on January 31, 1945 a daughter of the late Armond “Taylor” and Arlene (Mauck) Vergilis. Sylvia worked at Hammermill and retired in 2004 from Highmark Blue Shield. She was a member of Salona United Church of Christ. She attended business school in Williamsport. Surviving are her son Clayton A. (Katie) Andrews of Mill Hall, two grandchildren Harleigh and Robbie. One brother Joseph Vergilis of California and two sisters Victoria Lendo of Philadelphia and Kin Vergilis of Mill Hall. Her former husband Allen R. Andrews of Mill Hall also survives her. Friends and relatives will be received from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. Interment will be private at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
