Sylvia J. (Stratton) Beck

YORK- Sylvia J. (Stratton) Beck, 81, died on Friday, October 1, 2021 at her residence. She was the wife of Marlin L. “Sonny” Beck. The couple wed in August of 1964 in England. Services for Mrs. Beck will be held at a later date in England. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, is in charge of arrangements. Born on July 2, 1940 in Yaxley, England, she was a daughter of the late George and Doris (Whaley) Stratton. Sylvia was a Certified Nurses Aid for SpiriTrist Lutheran Home for 32 years. Along with her husband, Marlin, Sylvia is survived by two sons, Paul Beck of Manchester Twp. and Richard Beck of York; two daughters, Diane Beck of York and Joanne Sprenkle and her husband, Scott of Manchester Twp; four grandchildren, Justin Schaller, Cory Beck, Alex Sprenkle and Deanna Sprenkle; four great grandchildren, Hailey, Aubrey, Oliver and Elliana; and brother, Robert Stratton and his wife, Trixie of Yaxley, England. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Stratton; and brother, Peter Stratton.
