Sylvia I. Feese

Sylvia I. Feese, 87, a former resident of New Columbia died on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Kramm Health Care Center, Milton where she resided for the past year. She was born on February 15, 1920 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Arthur & Clara (Minium) Criswell. She cared for her parents until their deaths. She was married on March 15, 1942 in Phoenix, AL to Ralph E. Feese, Sr., who died March 10, 2001. They celebrated fifty-eight years of marriage. She was a member of the United In Christ Lutheran Church, West Milton where she taught Sunday school until 2001. She and her late husband worked together to sew quilts for church projects. Mrs. Feese worked at McCormick's spice factory in Baltimore, MD, and then at Quaker Manufacturing until her retirement in 1974. She enjoyed sewing and reading. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving is her son Ralph (Sandra) of Niceville, FL, and her daughters Cynthia (Ernest) Deason of Sikeston, MO and Rebecca (Arlin) Rishel of New Columbia. She is also survived by her grandchildren Christopher, Daniel, Jennifer, Rebekah & Jamie, and her six great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers Merrill & Robert Criswell, and her sisters Thelma Glasmyer & Dorothy Solomon. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at the United In Christ Lutheran Church, West Milton with the Reverend Ricky A. Phillips officiating. Family and friends will be received at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Church Hill Cemetery.
