Sylvia C. (Lieb) Hudson

Sylvia C. (Lieb) Hudson, 67, of Columbia Crossroads, PA, went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Troy Hospital, Troy, PA. She was the loving wife of George P. Hudson, Sr. The couple married May 25, 1963 and had 46 happy years together. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Holy Child Catholic Church, 237 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA, with Rev. Jacek J. Bialkowski officiating. Burial will follow the funeral mass in Roseville Cemetery. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA, has been entrusted with arrangements. Sylvia was born on July 20, 1942 in Cologne, NJ, daughter of the late George and Anna (Bolz) Lieb. She was a graduate of Egg Harbor City High School, class of 1961. When she was younger, Sylvia belonged to the 4-H of Atlantic County, NJ and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cologne Volunteer Fire Company, Cologne, NJ. After moving to Columbia Crossroads, PA, she and George became members of the Holy Child Catholic Parish in Mansfield, PA. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. The true love of Sylvia's life was her husband George and her family; there was nothing better than the time she spent with her grandchildren. Sylvia was a homemaker, but moreover was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Sylvia is survived by her husband George, her daughters: Rebecca (Rick) Branfman of Galloway, NJ, Jennifer (Chris) Herman of Corning, NY, her son George P. (Kristin) Hudson, Jr. of Hammonton, NJ, her grandchildren: Ian Hudson and Gwyneth Herman, her sisters: Margaret (Robert) Hare of Cologne, NJ, Gertrude (Robert) Mangeruga of Galloway Township, NJ, Maria Berggoetz of Cologne, NJ, Theresa (Al) Capito of Cologne, NJ, her brother Tony (Cindy) Lieb of Galloway, NJ, and many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: John and Joseph Lieb.
