Suzanne Rice

YORK- Suzanne Rice, 67, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020 at York Hospital. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 1-2 p.m. Certified Celebrant Debe Snyder will be officiating at the service. Miss Rice was born in York on August 6, 1952, the daughter of the late Howard William and Nellie Mae (Gorsuch) Rice. She worked for the state of PA Welfare Department in York and retired from the Harrisburg Department. Miss Rice enjoyed traveling, decorating for holidays, baking pies, and loved her pet cats. Miss Rice leaves a sister, Janet Lehr of York; two brothers, Gerry Rice of Seven Valleys, and Michael Rice of Spring Grove, as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Juny Rice. Memorial contributions may be made to Speranza Animal Rescue, 1216 Brandt Rd., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
