YORK – Suzanne Lois (Frigm) Greenwood, 61, died Friday, September 28, 2012. She was the wife of her high school sweetheart, Lloyd W. Greenwood. The couple met June 2, 1967 and was married on May 17, 1970. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with Reverend Cristopher Frigm officiating. A viewing will be held from 7-9 PM on Monday, and at 10-11 AM on Tuesday. The West York VFW Post 8951 Ladies Auxiliary will be conducting a service at 8 PM on Monday at the Funeral Chapel. The Burial will be at Mt. Rose Cemetery. Mrs. Greenwood was born September 13, 1951 in York. She was the daughter of the late Richard James and Vesta Evelyn (Ruth) Frigm. She was employed for 29 years at Pfaltzgraff as a Press Operator. When the company closed in 2005, she enrolled at the York Technical Institute and earned an Associate’s Degree as a Medical Assistant. Suzanne was an active member for the West York VFW Post 8951 Ladies Auxiliary for over 15 years. She also enjoyed camping at Mt. Creek Campground, which she did with her family for 28 years. Suzanne often took bicycle trips with friends on the Cumberland County Biking and Hiking Trail, traveling from Mt. Creek Campground to Pine Grove Furnace and back. She was also fond of doing arts and crafts activities with her daughter, Nikkole, and attending her grandson, Alex’s baseball games and quarter midget races. Suzanne and Lloyd also loved traveling together, taking nine cruises. Along with her husband, Lloyd, Mrs. Greenwood is survived by a daughter, Nikkole A. Schmiedel and her husband, Marc, of Etters; a grandson, Alex; four brothers, Philip E. Frigm and his wife, Joyce, of York; Michael D. Frigm of Dover; John A. Frigm and his wife, Karen, of York; and Thomas P. Frigm, of Dover; a sister-in-law, Jilma M. Reilly of N.C.; nieces and nephews, life-long friends Perry and Carol Richards of Strinestown; and numerous friends and co-workers. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald L. Frigm and Richard J. Frigm, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alex Schmiedel Educational Fund, c/o New Cumberland Federal Credit Union, P.O.
