Susan E. Swartz

Longs, SC—Susan E. (Rohrbach) Swartz, 76, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Ephrata Manor. She was the significate other of Robert R. McComsey III with whom she spent the past 35 years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements.

Born September 03, 1948 in York, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Rosela (Dell) Rohrbach.

She was employed as a receptionist for many years with the Art Institute of York, formerly the Bradley Academy.

A member of Trinity Lutheran Church – Lancaster, she also loved her dogs, enjoyed gardening and for many years was an avid bowler. She was a very kind person and would do anything for anyone.

Mrs. Swartz is also survived by her daughter, Debra S. Swartz of Longs, SC; two grandchildren, Avery L. Handy of Longs, SC, and James D. Johnson of Wilmington, NC; one sister, Linda E. Schroll of Longs, SC and her niece, Kristine Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas W. Swartz and her former husband, William E. Swartz.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ephrata Manor, 99 Bethany Rd, Ephrata, Pa 17522.
