Susan L. (Rine) Schell

YORK HAVEN – Susan L. (Rine) Schell, 61, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at her home. She was the wife of Jay B. Schell to whom she was married for 37 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Fishing Creek Salem U.M. Church, 402 Valley Rd., Etters with her pastor, The Rev. Dr. Deborah Heisley-Cato officiating. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born March 12, 1954 in Ohio, a daughter of the late Dana W. and H. Jean (Hehl) Rine and adopted daughter of Joyce M. (Blackley) Rine of Tampa, FL, she was a 1972 graduate of East Pennsboro High School and earned her Associate Degree in English from Millersville University. She had worked for more than 30 years at SHS Intl., and later worked at Aflac and American Mint in Mechanicsburg. Susan enjoyed being an active member at Fishing Creek Salem U.M. Church where she served as Dir. Of Informal Worship, taught the Seekers in Christ class, headed up the Soul Food Ministry, and was active with their Women’s Book Group. She had previously served as Sunday school Superintendant and taught Middle School Sunday school class for many years. She also was a prolific reader and crafter. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Schell is survived by a son, Travis M. and wife Michele Schell of York Haven; two daughters, Lindsey A. and husband Allen Antonio of Lemoyne and Stacey D. and husband Nicholas Werner of York Haven; two grandchildren, Joseph and Aiden along with a baby granddaughter due in January; two brothers, Edward Rine of FL and Robert Rine of PA; and one sister, Susan Gail of FL. Memorial contributions may be made to Fishing Creek Salem U.M. Church, 402 Valley Rd., Etters, PA 17319 to benefit their Soul Food Ministry.
