Susan K. Mealing

POTTSVILLE - Susan K. Mealing, 74, of Pottsville, passed away Thursday morning at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical, Pottsville. Born in Pottsville on October 1, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Helen Remensnyder Lewis. She was a 1951 graduate of Pottsville High School. She was retired from the Pottsville Area School District where she worked as a secretary to the Principal at the D.H.H. Lengle Middle School. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. She was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Lewis. Susan is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Mealing, of Pottsville, to whom she was married 53 years; her two sons, Thomas Mealing, husband of Sheri, of Orwigsburg and David Mealing, husband of Tammy, of Schuylkill Haven; her three Grandchildren, Thomas, Megan and Paige Mealing; her sister, Jean Heisler, Mechanicsburg, PA; her three brothers, William Lewis, South Carolina, Stewart Lewis, Pottsville, and Burt Lewis, Weatherly, PA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:00 A.M. at the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Sts., Pottsville. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Pottsville.
