Susan E. Vetenko

York—Susan E. Vetenko, 61, died Monday, August 31, 2009 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. A graveside tribute will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 2, 2009 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York, with the Rev. Charles Davis of the Family Worship Center in York, officiating. A funeral cortege will form at the main entrance of the cemetery at 10:15 a.m. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born June 5, 1948 in Detroit, MI, she was a daughter of the late Howard J. and Ellen E. (Piatt) Vetenko. She loved watching and singing along with church services on television. Ms. Vetenko is survived by a brother-in-law, Dennis L. Scheivert of York, four aunts, Maude Geary, Betty Lowery, Rebecca Gray, all of Harveys Lake, and Alma Husted, Reston, Va. She was preceded in death by Sarah R. Scheivert. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Margaret E. Moul Home, 2050 Barley Rd, York, Pa 17408.
