Susan A. (Kessler) Javitt-Love

Susan A. (Kessler) Javitt-Love, 60, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at York Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Greenmount Cemetery, 721 Carlisle Ave., York with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. Born on March 20, 1960 in York, she was the daughter of Ruth (Strausbaugh) Kessler of York and the late Gene Kessler. Susan was a 1978 graduate of West York High School. She worked at Smith Village Home Furnishings and at Wellspan over the years. Susan was an avid artist who loved drawing, painting and making custom signs of which she sold to many people and local businesses. She also loved spending time at the beach, shopping, movie night and cherished time with her grandsons. Susan is survived by two sons, Jacob Javitt and his wife, Nicole of York and Matt Javitt of Baltimore, MD; two grandchildren, Roman and Brooks who lovingly referred to her as Sue-Sue; her sister, Colleen Schaffner and her husband, Rick of York; nephew, Brady Hamburger of York; and her granddog, Penny.
