Sue V. Grothe

Wrightsville - Sue Vandelyne Grothe entered into eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, February 09, 2025 surrounded by her family and loved ones. 

 Sue was known for her unending kindness. Her love knew no bounds, and she was always there to help. Her smile and joy could brighten anyone’s day.

 She was employed as a dental hygienist for many years, creating long lasting relationships with her patients. If you ever sat in her chair, she knew you, and she cared about you. 

 Sue loved spending time with her children and her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She loved gardening, the beach, going out to eat, shopping, and simply driving around. She embraced the simplest qualities of life. She was caring, funny, humble, and intensely loving. 

 Sue is survived by her mother, Betty Gladfelter (wife of Ronald Gladfelter), sister, Sandy Crumling (wife of William Crumling), and children, Luke Kline, Lindsey Pangburn, Amy Kline, Tom Kline, Tammy McDermott, and Jessie Kline Jr. She also leaves behind 23 cherished grandchildren and numerous loving great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her dear brothers, Todd Grothe and Anthony Grothe Jr., and her beloved granddaughter, Jessie Lynn Kline.

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00PM, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Anthony Zumbo. A Viewing will be held from 2:00 – 4:00PM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. 

 In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
