Steven Robert Carpenter

RED LION- Steven Robert Carpenter, 64, died on Friday, January 6, 2023 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Karen M. (Huson) Carpenter who died on November 2, 2018. The couple had been married for 26 years.

Services for Mr. Carpenter are private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.

Born on June 22, 1958 in York, he was a son of Nancy Lee (Frey) Carpenter of Dallastown and the late Jack Carpenter. Steven worked IT for General Graphic Services, Inc. for several years.

Mr. Carpenter enjoyed anything to do with cars. He was a mechanic with the GGS racing team and helped lead the team to two national championships.

Steven is survived by his stepson, Brandon Huson of Loganville; two step grandchildren, Owen and Riley; and two brothers, Jack Carpenter and his wife, Sue of Nevada and Gary Carpenter and his wife, Barb of Florida.
