Steven L. Poff

RED LION- Steven L. Poff, 52, died on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at his residence. He was the husband of Dena L. (Metz) Poff. The couple planned to celebrate their 31st wedding anniversary on April 20. A memorial service will be 4 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Bethany U.M. Church, 121 W. Broadway, Red Lion, with his pastor, Reverend Ronald L. Doverspike officiating. A visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, both at the church. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born on March 16, 1963, he was a son of Leroy “Sonny” and Dorothy M. (Walters) Poff. Steve worked at New Era Die for 25 years, IVRI and most recently was a tester for Johnson Controls. Mr. Poff was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Red Lion. Steven played baseball in high school and also the Susquehanna League and Old Timer’s League. He was a member of the Red Lion Elks Lodge #1592. Steve enjoyed hunting and fishing and sports, especially the Alabama Crimson Tide, New York Jets and Pittsburgh Pirates. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Along with his wife, Dena, Mr. Poff is survived by two daughters, Kira Poff and Kylie Poff both of Red Lion; two brothers, Timothy Poff and his wife, Dianne of Red Lion and Kevin Poff and his wife, Kristan of Red Lion; and one sister, Melissa Raver and her husband, Brett of Windsor.
