York—Sterling C. Kline, 80, died Friday, March 9, 2007 at York Hospital. He was the husband of late Alda J. (Cook) Kline. A funeral service will be held 12 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at York Alliance Church, 501 Rathton Rd, York, with Rev. Donald D. Draggoo officiating. A viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, at the church. Burial will be held in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kline was born November 14, 1926 in East Prospect, a son of the late Charles A. and Carrie (Paules) Kline. A Realtor and small business owner of Golden Rule Reality, which he operated for numerous years, he also later worked with Century 21 Heritage Reality, where he concluded his 45 year career. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II and a life member of National Rifle Assoc., a member of Shiloh American Legion - Post 791, York County Assoc., of Realtors, PA Assoc., of Realtors and National Assoc., of Realtors. An avid hunter, he also enjoyed bird watching and building bird houses. Mr. Kline is survived by seven children, Keith B. Kline of York, Craig S. Kline of Dover, Shawn D. Kline of Spring Grove, Janell B. Oldack of Newport, Kimberly K. Cole of York, Bryce E. Kline of E. York and Lynette F. Rohrbaugh of York, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one brother, Glenn Kline of York, one sister, Betty Miller of York and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Steven E. Kline, one daughter, Erica L. Kline, four brothers, Warren, David, C. Allen and William Kline and two sisters, Martha Myers and Naomi Keller. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 36 N. Highland Ave, York, Pa 17404 or Disabled American Veterans Memorial Program, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
