Stephen L. Sterner

STATE COLLEGE- Stephen L. Sterner, 73, formerly of York passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at York Hospital. Services will be private with burial in Mount Rose Cemetery. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place is assisting the family with the arrangements. Stephen was born in York, the son of the late Earl and Mildred (Doll) Sterner. He managed and inventoried the PA Timber Sales in Potters Mills, PA. Mr. Sterner earned Masters degrees in both Forestry and Dendrology. He served in the US Army in Germany with the Army Corps of Engineers during the Vietnam War. He leaves two brothers, Richard Sterner of Delta and Ronald Sterner and his wife Dolores of North Carolina; a nephew, Scott Sterner, and a niece Constance Sterner Wright.
