Stephen L. Deardorff

RED LION – Stephen L. Deardorff, 74, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024 at his residence.

Born September 12, 1949 in York, he was a son of the late Leroy J. and Hilda M. (Oberdick) Deardorff. For most of his working life, Stephen was a sales associate at Harley Davidson, also owning a jewelry store and selling hot tubs in the past. Outside of his sales occupations, Mr. Deardorff found passion in creating and owning art and cooking. He is remembered as being a phenomenal cook. He also had an extensive album collection. When he had free time, he enjoyed driving his Harley in the Toys for Tots Motorcycle Rides, along with other charitable rides. Now, his Harley has over 80,000 miles!

Mr. Deardorff is survived by his son, J. Michael Deardorff of New York City; a sister, Margaret D. Sexton of York; three nieces, Chris Conn of Arlington, TX, Anne Ramsay of York, and Ericka Downie of White Hall, MD; a nephew, Scott Deardorff of FL; and a family friend, Linda Loughran. He is preceded in death by his partner, Vicki Deardorff and his brother, Michael Deardorff.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., Red Lion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
