Stephen E. Wiley

DOVER – Stephen E. Wiley, 63, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at his home. He was the husband of Kathryn E. (Eckenrode) Wiley to whom he was married for 12 years. A public viewing will be held from 9-11:00 AM Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. All PA Dept. of Health COVID-19 guidelines will be followed including capacity restrictions inside the Funeral Home and masks required. Stephen’s private Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday and will be livestreamed on the Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory Facebook page at www.facebook.com/heffnertributes/live Private burial will be in York Road Cemetery, Hanover. Born October 19, 1957 in King of Prussia, Montgomery Co.; a son of the late Robert V. and Doreene (Hoffman) Wiley, he retired from Whitman Landscaping after 26 years of creating one-of-a-kind stonemasonry and property maintenance. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife, Mr. Wiley is survived by two sons, John and wife Britt Wiley of York and Chris Wiley of Dover; a stepson, Brian Eckenrode of Manchester; three stepdaughters, Jamie and husband Kevin Crone of Dover, Tasha and husband Brian Lindsay of Dillsburg and Erin Bugg and fiancée Joseph Leaks of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren, Tyler, Lathian, Quinn, Madyson, Dylan, Jakob, Lucy, Lathan and Jeremiah; two great grandsons; a brother, Eric Wiley of Dover; two sisters, Jane Gee of Red Lion and Linda Keffer of Cross Junction, VA; an aunt, Elinor Achaj of York; a sister-in-law, Sharon Wiley of Maggie Valley, NC; and a brother-in-law, Charles Weigel of Seven Valleys.
