PLYMOUTH, MN - Stephen E. Cutshall, 55, formerly of Dover, PA and Las Vegas, NV, died at 8:40 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park, MN. A service to celebrate Stephen's life will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with the Rev. Kevin T. Shively, pastor of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family. Stephen was born November 30, 1953, in York. He was the son of the late John H. Cutshall and Norma E. (Jacobs) Cutshall of Dover. He was raised in the Weigelstown area and was a 1971 graduate of Dover High School. In 1973 he received his Associates Degree in Criminology from Harrisburg Area Community College and was later employed with the Capital Police Department in Harrisburg. Stephen departed Central Pennsylvania to pursue a career in Casino Security in Las Vegas and worked with several casinos prior to his retirement. He enjoyed spending time camping in the Nevada deserts and watching the stars with his telescope. He will be remembered by his friends and family for his joyful and entertaining personality, and for the laughter that always seemed to surround him. In addition to his mother, Stephen is survived by his brother, Craig D. Cutshall of Dover; his sister, Georgia A. Sprenkel of Dover; a niece, Stephanie Baden of Saginaw; several cousins; and his companion, Debra Smith of Plymouth, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market St., York, PA 17401 or the York County Food Bank, 254 W. Princess St., York, PA 17401.
