Brogue- Stanley M. Robinson, 84, of Chanceford Twp., passed away Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Manor Care Health Services-Kingston Court. He was the husband of Evelyn B. (Boyd) Robinson. The couple celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on March 15, 2006. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. His pastor, The Reverend Peter M. Beddia will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Bethel U. M. Cemetery with full military honors by York County Veteran's Honor Guard. Mr. Robinson was born in Brogue on August 8, 1922, a son of the late Roy and Rachael (Myers) Robinson. He retired after 35 years of service from Naval Supply Depot in Mechanicsburg; previously he had worked for Naval Ordinance Plant in York and Warner's Dairy. After retirement he worked part-time for Imperial Remodeling in York. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Brogue, graduated at age 16 from Lower Chanceford High School and served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theatre aboard the USS Borie during WWII. Mr. Robinson leaves two daughters: Kimberly B. Gohn of Red Lion and her husband Bill and Marcindie McKinsey of Red Lion and her husband Brad, three grandchildren: Jenna Woerner, Justin McKinsey, and Madison Gohn, a great granddaughter, Allie Marie McKinsey, and two sisters: Naomi Urey of Brogue and Phyllis Gohn of Red Lion. A son, Terry D. Robinson, preceded him in death. Memorial Contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 1674 Furnace Church Rd., Brogue, PA 17309.
