Sophia (Ubert) Boyer

YORK- Sophia (Ubert) Boyer, 87, of Springfield Township, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Pleasant Acres in York. She was the wife of Robert M. Boyer. The couple celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on July 30th. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Services will be private with burial in Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Jacobus. Mrs. Boyer was born in Chicago, IL on November 1, 1926, the daughter of the late Frederic and Anna (Adenholt) Ubert. She was a homemaker and worked in several office and sales positions, the last being at Bon-Ton in York. Mrs. Boyer was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Jacobus. Along with her husband, Mrs. Boyer leaves two daughters, Christine Whitmer of Champagne, IL and Kathleen Cizewski of Grayslake, IL. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.
