Dover—Sonja P. "Pat" (Fox) Woolridge, 72, passed away, Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at York Hospital, after a lengthy and courageous battle with lung cancer. She was the wife of Rex E. Woolridge, with whom she celebrated 48 years of marriage on February 18th. A funeral tribute service will be held 10 a.m., Monday, August 10, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, with her pastor, the Rev. John Harmon, officiating. A viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m., Monday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born July 31, 1937 in Dallastown, she was a daughter of the late Charlotte Fox Rinier and Woodrow Fox. She graduated from Dallastown High School in 1955 and was employed with AAA for 35 years in the Insurance Department as Operations Manager. A member of Friendship Community Church in Dover, she was a very family oriented person, who loved Christmas, especially buying gifts for everyone and enjoyed cooking dinner for her family every Sunday. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Woolridge is also survived by two sons, Mark and Michael Woolridge and his companion, Shawna Ruth, all of Dover, five grandchildren, Devin, Kevin and his fiancçª Samantha, Christopher, Kendra and Tiffany, one great granddaughter, Brooke, one sister, Sandra Heindel and her husband, Norm of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and several nieces and a nephew. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association of PA, 3001 Old Gettysburg Rd, Camp Hill, Pa 17011.
