Siegfried H. Bockhoefer

YORK - Siegfried H. Bockhoefer, 85, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Spiritrust Lutheran Homes. Siegfried was the husband of Linda L. (Jones) Bockhoefer. The couple had been wed for 60 years. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Born in Rheine, Germany on June 10, 1935, Siegfried was the son of the late Friedrich and Hermine Bockhoefer. After serving our country in the US Army for two years, he went into the US Army Reserves until 1964. Siegfried was a proud member of the Rhododendron Society and loved gardening himself. In his spare time, he was also an excellent woodworker. Mr. Bockhoefer worked many years for Caterpillar as an electrician until his retirement in 1995. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Linda; two daughters Erika Snyder of York, Lauri Norbeck of New Cumberland; two sons, Steven Bockhoefer and Edward Bockhoefer of Winter Garden, FL; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Siegfried was preceded in death by his brother and his sister.
