Sibyl E. Young

Wellsburg, NY - Sibyl E. Young, Age 84, of Bucks Creek Road, Gillett, PA passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Robert Packer Hospital. She was born December 11, 1925 daughter of the late John S. and Frances E. (Mack) Howland. She was married to Jacob R. Young on April 3, 1946 in Westfield. PA and enjoyed 64 years together. Sibyl was employed at the A & P Plant and later by Trayer Products where she retired. Sibyl was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed gardening, house plants, knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband Jacob R. Young of Bentley Creek, three sons, John & Kathleen Young of Corry, PA, Joel Young, Robert Young both of Bentley Creek, four daughters, Nancy & Gary Kenjersky of FL, Judy & Eddie Short of VA, Frances & William Cavanaugh of Gillett, PA, Susan Coolbough of Springfield, PA, two brothers, Merle Howland of Westfield, PA, Larry Howland of FL, sister, Donna Staley of Westfield, PA 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and son Jacob Young. Family and friends are invited to call from 5 to 7 PM Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the Roberts Funeral home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Sibyl's funeral wil be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 7 PM with her brother Merle Howland officiating. Interment will be in Champlin Cemetery, Westfield, PA.
