YORK- Shona S. Bosserman Deveney, 73, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Colonial Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in York. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with her Pastor, The Reverend Pat Teaford officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:30-6:30 PM prior to the service. Born August 20, 1941 in Dover, Shona was a daughter of the late Alma Jeanette Deveney. Ms. Deveney was a member of St. David’s E C Church in Dover. Shona worked as a nurse for Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in York, a job that she loved very much. She also enjoyed cooking, especially Pennsylvania Dutch cooking, and going for drives during the autumn as the leaves changed. Her greatest hobby, however, were her grandchildren who she adored. Ms. Deveney is survived by two sons, Michael R. Stiles of FL, and Paul Clarence Bosserman and his wife Jackie of Dover; three daughters, Mai Lou Stiles and her husband Mateo of Mexico, Kelly Jo Newman and her husband Brian of York, and Bobbi Sue Dellinger and her husband Marc of Dover; eight grandchildren, Kirsten Dellinger, Kayla Dellinger, Blake Dellinger, Matthew Newman, Kelsie Newman, Elijah Ritter, Trinity Bosserman, and Jonathan S. Garcia; a sister, Charlynn Pollins of Summer Duck, VA, and a niece, Steffani Sanders and her husband Donny of Summer Duck, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
