Windsor—Shirley N. (Hershner) Shoff, 79, died Monday, February 3, 2014 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Shoff, Sr., to whom she was married for 55 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 PM, Friday, February 7, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A viewing will be held from 1-2 PM, Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Windsor Cemetery. Born August 14, 1934 in York, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Lillian (Barshinger) Hershner. She was employed with General Dynamics, formerly Flinchbaugh Products as a machine operator for 30 plus years until her retirement. Spending time with family was very important to her and they were always her first priority. She also enjoyed crafts, puzzles, crocheting, tending to her mini doll house, taking family trips to Assateague Island and watching Windsor baseball games from her porch. Mrs. Shoff is survived by five children, Melody E. Hess and husband, Bruce of Stewartstown, Mark A. Shoff and wife, Sue of Blossburg, Jill N. Dellinger and husband, Ronald of Windsor, Todd V. Shoff and wife, Kimberly of Brogue and Richard A. Shoff, Jr., of Windsor; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Hershner. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
