WRIGHTSVILLE – Shirley L. (Gentzler) Krow, 71, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of Harold Krow to whom she was married 40 years. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 7 PM at Gateway Church, 50 Blunston Ln., York with Pastor Barry Ryan officiating. A visitation will be from 6-7 Friday and the church. Burial will be private at the request of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born February 10, 1940 in York, Mrs. Krow was a daughter of John and the late Dorothy (Senft) Gentzler. She worked as an administrative assistant for Smith, Lecates and Campbell Law Firm until her retirement. She was a member of Gateway Church in York. Mrs. Krow was very fond of the mountains and was a devoted member of her church. In addition to her husband and her father, Mrs. Krow is survived by three sons: Jeffrey Becker of New York, Timothy Becker and wife Paula of New York, and Terry Kline and wife RaeAnne of Sinking Springs; one daughter, Sherry Woodend and husband James of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three step-sisters: Barbara Whorl of York, Yvonne Bauserman of Spring Grove, and Bethanne Clark of York; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Schlosser. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association: 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
