TROY- Shirley (Hall) Noble, 77, of Coryland, PA passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Tommy G. Noble who passed away in 1988. The couple married July 23, 1954 and had 34 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Coryland Church on the Hickory Road, just past the four corners in Coryland, PA. The funeral service to honor Shirley’s life will be held at 12:00 PM at the church with Pastor Myra Goss and Rev. Garry Zuber officiating. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA has been entrusted with arrangements. Shirley was born on May 16, 1935 in Sayre, PA daughter of the late Levi and Alice (Wilber) Hall. She was a Troy High School graduate, Class of 1954. She worked as the Cafeteria Manager at Mosherville Elementary School for 28 years and always worked along side her husband and family on their dairy farm. Shirley was a fifty year member of Coryland Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Elder, and Trustee. She was also a member of the church’s quilting group where they made sleeping bags and quilts for the homeless. Shirley was a lifetime member on both the local and state level of the American Jersey Cattle Association, was a member of the Grand Paraders Square Dancers in Troy, and was on the Bradford County Republican Women’s Comminute for many years. She enjoyed the time she spent with her family; especially her monthly visits with the “Wilber Girls”. Shirley is survived by: Her daughter Sharon Noble and friend Bill Chappell, Sharon’s daughter Michelle (John) Roupp and their son Damein, her son Stephen (Donna) Noble and their daughter Stephanie (Rich) Havens, her son Terry Noble and his children Jessica Noble and friend Adam King and Jessica’s daughter Abigail, Jennifer Noble and her children Lillian and Jackson, and Timothy (Julia) Noble and his sons Thomas (Jamie) Noble and their children Makenna and Karson, Adam Noble and friend Harley Teribury, and his son Zeke, her son Stuart (Elaine) Noble and their children Maria Jo, Wesley, and Cory, all of the Coryland area, her sister Bette Hall of Troy, her brothers: Russell (Rose) Hall of Troy and Larry (JoAnn) Hall of Columbia Cross Roads, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends: Linda Noble and her family, Harlan and Jackie Press, Sandy Stewart, Jan Jenkins, Velma Roy, Melba Campbell, Barb and Bob Baker, Bill and Nancy Dibble, and Steve and Judy Burger. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tommy, infant brother David, and her mother and father-in-law LaVere and Frances Noble. Shirley’s family will provide flowers for her service. They have asked memorial contributions be made in Shirley’s memory to the Big Elm Fire Department, C/O Donna Noble P.O.
