Shirley D. (Riehl) Buseck

STOVERSTOWN- Shirley D. (Riehl) Buseck, 76, died Monday, May 23, 2011 at Rest Haven. She was the wife of the late Vernon C. Buseck. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. Mr. Darvin Hopkins will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Union Cemetery in Stoverstown. Mrs. Buseck was born in Cumberland, MD on October 20, 1934, a daughter of the late Harriett F. Spade. She was self employed as a Folk Artist, enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Buseck leaves two daughters, Terri L. Joseph and her husband Bill of York and H. Jean Mitzel and her husband Randy, Sr. of York New Salem; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Leonard “Bill” Riehl; and a sister, Pauline Gartland, both of Loysburg. She was preceded in death by a son, Vernon R. Buseck; a brother, Merle Riehl; and three sisters, Lola Palmer, Leota M. Defibaugh, and Erma “Nan” Johnson.
