Shirley Ann Taylor

HAGERSTOWN, MD- Shirley Ann (Edleblute) Taylor, 84 formerly of Etters, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Junior Oscar Taylor.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Parkville Bible Church, 800 Wissler Rd., in Etters. Viewings will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9-10 a.m. both at the church. Pastor Frank Heidler and Pastor Andrew Grate will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery in Lewisberry. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mrs. Taylor was born on October 18, 1939, a daughter of the late Russell and Beulah B. (Kline) Edleblute. Shirley and Junior started Taylor’s Variety Store in 1970 and watched it grow along with many friendships. She was a very active supporter of her church, Parkville Bible Church. She loved spending time volunteering with Vacation Bible School at her church and at her daughter’s church in Maryland. She enjoyed sending birthday, thinking of you, and get well soon cards to friends and family. She also loved to travel and just live life.

Mrs. Taylor leaves a son, John Taylor (Alyce) of Harrisburg; four daughters, Mary Taylor of Hagerstown, MD, Shirl Fauth (Mike) of York, June Hollinger of New Cumberland, and Janet Sweeney (Chris Huber) of Norfolk, VA; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; a great, great granddaughter; and a brother, Barry Edleblute (Elyse) Hellam. She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Taylor and a daughter, Cindy Puterio.
