Shirley Ann (Lehigh) Franklin

SEVEN VALLEYS- Shirley Ann (Lehigh) Franklin, 65, died Thursday, September 13, 2007 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Ronald M. Franklin. The couple celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on August 2nd. A private service was held for the family at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. Mrs. Franklin was born in York on January 1, 1942, a daughter of the late David and Geneva Lehigh. She was a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Franklin leaves two sons: Ronald "Skip" Franklin, II, of York New Salem and Camron "Mike" Franklin of Elizabethtown, KY, two daughters: Dawn Heller of York Haven and Leah Brubacher of Red Lion, twelve grandchildren: David Taylor, Charles Franklin, Shonna Smith, Matthew Franklin, Amber Franklin, Miranda Robertson, Ronald Heller, Jr., David Heller, Daniel Smith, III, Justin Smith, Gabrielle Smith, and Samuel Franklin, four great grandchildren, a brother Edward Lehigh of Stoverstown and a sister, Karen Coder of York. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Lehigh, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
