Shirley Ann (Black) Miller

YORK- Shirley Ann Miller, 82, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Wilmer J. Miller who passed away on February 9, 2021. They were married for 65 years. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at St. Jacob’s Union Cemetery in York New Salem with Reverend Lisa Hair officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on September 25, 1938 in York, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Carrie (Black) Keefer. Shirley was a member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church and a past member of White Rose Eastern Star Chapter #360. She enjoyed becoming an Advisor to the Golden Age Group of York New Salem for 40 years while also working as secretary for her husband’s businesses, Wilmer Miller’s Garage and Wilmer Miler Mini Storage. Shirley loved her family. Shirley loved to travel with her husband, loved animals, especially her cats, and enjoyed cooking fastnachts and Christmas cookies. Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughter, Keena J. Miller of York New Salem; four grandchildren, Vance K. Study, Jr., Karli J. Study, Courtney Taylor and her husband, Jason and Andrew Nicholas and his wife, Jessica; four great grandchildren, Junith, Juliana, Charlotte and Nashton; and son in law, Terrance Nicholas of York; She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lois L.
