Shirley A. (Swartz) Holtzinger

WINDSOR- Shirley A. (Swartz) Holtzinger, 82, died on Friday, December 29, 2017 at her residence. She was the wife of George I. Holtzinger, Jr. to whom she was married for 67 years. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born on September 27, 1935 in York, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Rebecca (Eveler) Swartz. Shirley was a tobacco stripper for House of Winsor and Brogue Cigar Factory. Mrs. Holtzinger enjoyed cooking, baking and flowers. Along with her husband, George, Shirley is survived by three sons, Rick Holtzinger and wife, Ruth of Red Lion, Rex Holtzinger and wife, Tina of Windsor and Thomas Holtzinger of Hellam Twp; one daughter, Georgianne Boswell and husband, George of Red Lion; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one step grandson, Shawn Hess; three sisters, Evelyn Frey, Gloria Haugh and Daisy Rexroth; one brother, George Swartz; one half sister, Virginia Sprenkle; and one half brother, Henry Swartz.
