MILTON - Shirley A. (Miller) Haas Bredbenner, 80, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. She was born in Milton on December 17, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Harry R. and Beatrice (Erb) Miller. Shirley married the late Robert Moyer Haas on August 02, 1953 and they celebrated 45 years of marriage together until his death on October 09, 1998. Shirley later married her long time companion, the late William C. Bredbenner, III on October 13, 2009. She was a graduate of the Milton Area High School Class of 1952. Shirley was a member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, Milton for over 50 years and was very active with her Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Christian Woman’s Club, TOPS and the Milton Senior Center. Early in life Shirley was a Girl Scout leader and was a part of the Haas family apple orchard. Shirley enjoyed bingo, camping at Ft. Boone Campground, Milton, playing cards, making apple pies, cooking, doing crafts, gardening, her pets and eating ice cream at McDonalds. Most of all Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Shirley is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Joseph R. and Jennifer Haas of Milton, one daughter; Angela L. Shively of Winfield, six grandchildren; Stacey Shively Kepler, Courtney Haas, Nicholas Shively, Blaine Haas, Amanda Rivera and Kristine Rivera, two great grandchildren; Kale Yost and Adalynne Haas, two half brothers; Emerson Bordner, Jr. and Robert Bordner. In addition to her parents, first and second husbands, Shirley was preceded in death by one son-in-law; Van Shively. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 102 Lower Market Street, Milton, PA 17847. A public viewing will be held 10:00 – 11:00am, Tuesday, September 01, 2015 at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 102 Lower Market Street, Milton followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dale Hippensteel officiating. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery, Milton. Arrangements are being handled by The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
