Sherry L. Chronister

YORK- Sherry L. Chronister, 61, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in York. A Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 1-2p.m. The Reverend Richard Chronister will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York. Sherry was born in York on October 31, 1949, a daughter of Evelyn L. Chronister and the late Robert E. Wiley. She attended programs at Shadowfax. Along with her mother, Sherry leaves a half brother, David Knokey and his wife Clare of Lake Meade. Memorial contributions may be made to Paradisus Church of God in Christ, 37 North Ridge Rd., Thomasville, PA 17364 or Heartland Hospice, 3417-C Concord Rd., York, PA 17402 Sherry was a special child of God. Anyone who met Sherry loved her, and she loved all who she met. God used Sherry to touch many people’s lives, through Sherry’s life; many learned how to show compassion to others. She loved attending church, listening to God’s word and Christian music. Although Sherry was never able to verbally express herself, those who loved her, knew what she wanted and needed. Our Angel Sherry is now laughing, singing, walking and praising the Lord. Our deepest appreciation to all who cared for Sherry throughout her life, especially Shadowfax, Heartland Hospice, and Colonial Manor.
