Sheila M. (Innes) Bartczak, age 90 of Scott Township, Pa died November 27, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Sheila is survived by loving daughter, Catherine Ferguson of Red Lion, Pa, loving sons, Rev Joseph (Faith) Bartczak of Columbus, Ohio and Kevin (Melanie) Bartczak of Melbourne, Fl, brother, Malcolm Davies of North Wales, United Kingdom and also eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Beloved husband, Victor Bartczak, her devoted and loving daughter, Judith B. Manson, son, David Bartczak and sister, Jean Innes. Sheila was born June 21, 1922 in Risca, South Wales UK to the late Christian and Edith (Samuel) Innes. She was orphaned at age 4 and was raised by Percy and Bessy Jones her uncle and aunt. Their son, John survived by his wife Margaret, was like a brother to Sheila. Sheila served during WWII as a nurse in British Women’s Auxiliary Air Force. She met her late husband Victor who was serving in the US Army in England where they were married July 8, 1944. She sailed to the US aboard The Queen Mary and settled in Carnegie, Pa in 1945 and became a US citizen in 1950. Sheila was a long time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Bower Hill, Pa and also of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved her husband Victor and her family. She and Victor always enjoyed their many vacations with Judy and her husband Rich and granddaughter Joy and also annual trips to The Lutheran Chautauqua at Lakeside, Ohio with son Joe and daughter Catherine. She will be sadly missed yet fondly remembered by her family and friends. At the request of the family there will be no public visitation. A Memorial service will be held at a later date at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Bower Hill Road, Pittsburgh, Pa. The public is welcome to attend. Sheila will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery where her husband Victor is buried.
