Shawn A. (Trabert) Yerger

RED LION - Shawn A. (Trabert) Yerger, lost her courageous two and a half year battle with cancer on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She never gave up hope and fought until the very end. She was the wife of Steven L. Yerger. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion, with Chaplain John Morrill officiating. A visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Born on December 22, 1955 she was a daughter of Patricia (Daily) Brumgard. Shawn was employed by Dairyland Medical Center as an LPN. Shawn was passionate about her husband, kids and especially her grandchildren. She loved them more than life. Shawn also enjoyed antiquing, gardening, shopping, cooking, baking, music, going to the beach and loved working as a nurse. She was a very caring person, always worrying about everyone else and taking care of others. Along with her husband, Steven, Shawn is survived by two daughters, Brooke and Megan Yerger, both of Red Lion; four grandchildren, Bailey, Bryce and Arlee Yerger and Jaxon Druck, all of Red Lion; two brothers, Steve Trabert of York and Thomas Trabert and his wife, Jill of York; a handful of nieces and nephews; and her beloved bulldog, Mugsy. She was preceded in death by one sister, Kelly Williams; and one brother, Jeffrey Trabert. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. upstairs at the Dallastown American Legion, 57 W. Main St., Dallastown. Light refreshments will be provided.
