York- Sharon Marie Cotherman, age 64, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at her home in York, PA. Sharon was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to all. She was survived by many, including her husband of 22 years, Dan L. Cotherman; her beloved dog, Codie Odie; two sons, Shawn and Brian Smith; daughters-in-law, Jeannie and Chelsea; grandchildren, Braydon, Cheyenne, Serenity, & Karsyn; two brothers Rich Cannon and wife, Tracy, and Roy D. Cannon Jr.; her estranged sister, Rosalie Wild; Six nieces and nephews, Gary Martin, Amanda Lynn Burr, Zachary Steven Cannon, Tara Caroline Cannon-Irrgang, Justin Kelly Cannon, Rachel Mary Cannon, and her lifelong best friend, Millie Craft. Sharon was born on April 12, 1955 to Roy Dale and Caroline (Viola) Cannon of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. As a child, Sharon grew up in a simple loving Catholic home. She graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1973. Sharon Started her career at Springford Knitting Company for 25 years, and moved over to childcare as well as becoming a rehab technician. Sharon survived a horrific car accident in 2005. Although the accident left her permanently disabled, she never allowed that to stop her from enjoying life and embracing it to the fullest. Sharon was an extremely giving and loving person who would give the shirt off her back and put Dan in the poor house. Sharon treasured her entire family, especially her grandchildren. When she had a chance to be around them, she embraced every moment to create lifelong memories. Sharon had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh & smile. She made friends everywhere she went and loved to talk your ear off. Sharon was always just a phone call away and made sure everyone knew that. Sharon enjoyed playing the lotto or slot machines, trying to win her retirement. Sharon dedicated her spare time to couponing and shopping. If you ever came to her house, you would have thought you were walking into a home from Country Kitchen or Better Homes and Gardens. Sharon took extreme pride in decorating her beautiful home. Sharon will be greatly missed and never forgotten. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be at 3 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, PA. Officiating will be Certified Celebrant Victoria Krouse. A viewing will be from 2-3PM at the funeral chapel.
