Sharon Lynn Yordy

YORK – Sharon Lynn (Dougherty) Yordy, 72, passed away Wednesday, February, 8, 2023 at her home.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Church of the Open Door, 8 Carlisle Court, York with Pastor Brett Ayers officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 AM Tuesday at the Church. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.

Born May 3, 1950, daughter of the late Aaron M. and Margaret A. (McCartney) Dougherty, she attended West York High School. Sharon has worked at Schaad Detective Agency for the past 25 years. She loved to listen and dance to live music and enjoyed nourishing her long-lasting friendships, of which there were many. Sharon also passionately supported the Tetelestai Tape Ministry.

Sharon is survived by her three children, Michael A. Dougherty of Marietta, Margaret A. Price and husband, Jonathan of East Berlin and Kathryn E. Yordy of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jaxon, and Jace; and a brother, Clark Dougherty of Wrightsville.
