Sharon (Bernstein) Krout

WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP- Sharon (Bernstein) Krout, 60, of York, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2007 at York Hospital. A devoted and loving wife and mother; married to her husband Gary L. Krout for over 36 years, and about to celebrate their 37th anniversary on August 28, 2006. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m, followed by a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. Burial will be a private service in Greenmount Cemetery on Friday afternoon. Sharon was born in York on November 11, 1946, the daughter of Louis Bernstein of West York and the late Pearl (Cassel) Bernstein; granddaughter of the late Morris and Mary (Stouffer) Bernstein. She was a member of York Art Association who loved drawing, painting, and photography. She had a great affinity for nature and the outdoors, and an obvious love of children, as evidenced by her 27 years as a school bus driver for Reliance Motor Coach Company. Sharon leaves her son, Derek A. Krout of Clearwater, FL; and seven siblings: LuJean Griffin-Young, Louis Bernstein, Dan Bernstein, Jon Bernstein, Harry Bernstein, Zita Bernstein, Dave Bernstein and Jack Sohnleitner. Flowers are welcomed. Charitable contributions may be made to the York County SPCA.
