Sharon Anne Mckiernan

HELLAM - Sharon Anne McKiernan, 59, formerly of Long Island, NY, died at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007 at home with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Luigi "Gino" DiCostanzo with whom she celebrated a 28th wedding anniversary on April 21, 2007. A viewing will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. A Prayer Service will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. Robert McCreary, OFM Cap officiating. A viewing will also be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Boyd - Caratozzolo Funeral Home, 1785 Deer Park Ave., Deer Park, NY with a Prayer Service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Sharon was born November 19, 1947, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was the daughter of the late John L. and Bonnie L. (Remington) McKiernan. She was the Director of Human Resources at Miltex, Inc. where she worked since December of 2001. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs and had been active in various Human Resource professional organizations. In addition to her husband, Sharon also leaves a son, Joseph Valone of Frisco, TX; a daughter, Morgan DiCostanzo of New York City; a grandson, Kaelen Valone; a granddaughter, Kierenan Valone; and a brother, Danny McKiernan of Colorado Springs.
