Shane J. Ladner

Glen Rock—Shane J. Ladner, 33, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family after his courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Veronica P. (Brown) Ladner with whom he shared the past 4 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 4 PM, Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Glen Rock American Legion Post 403, 4035 Manchester St., Glen Rock with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A visitation will be held from 3-4 PM and from the conclusion of the service until 6 PM. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born July 15, 1983 in New Orleans, LA, he was the son of Angele N. (Haydel) McCullough (Kim), Samuel J. DeRita and Clarence J. Ladner III. He was employed at Broadmead in Cockeysville, MD for 10 years as Director of IT. Shane loved his family and he especially enjoyed spending time with his four children. In addition to his wife and parents, Shane is also survived by four children, Maddyson B., Laura E., Noah D. and Dylan J.; two sisters, Allison N. Torres (Will), Victoria L. Balentine (Kris); five brothers, Matthew R. McCullough (Yvonne), Mark R. McCullough (Jenna), Anthony J. DeRita, Nicholas J. DeRita (Rebecca) and Stephen M. DeRita, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and numerous other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph E. DeRita and grandmother, Gail A. Bernhard. Family would like to thank Grane Hospice for their support during this trying time.
